Charlotte teacher gets recognized

ELIZABETH SPROUL ROSS ROSS ART GALLERY DEDICATION
Dedicated teachers often devote their entire lives to the profession without ever knowing the scope of their influence on students. Elizabeth Sproul Ross, a 67-year-old accomplished artist and photographer who has taught art at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte for over 37 years, is an exception.
An art gallery in the college’s brand new Academic and Performing Arts Center bears her name and is currently exhibiting her latest work. In November, several hundred of her students, fellow faculty members, family and friends, many of whom contributed to the gallery through the CPCC Foundation, watched her cut the ribbon to the new gallery and clebrated with her the joy of the occasion.
